Wildlife outside my door

We have a "hopefully" momma duck making a nest in the garden in our front yard. She has been in the same place off and on for several days now. Maybe we will get to see some ducklings in the future!

I've created and completed my first crochet project. It is a filet design of a phaleanopsis orchid. Please let me know what you think about it.

I'm hoping to enter it into a few orchid shows, the big one being the Indiana State Fair this summer.
